ScanPal uses only cookies and device storage that are strictly necessary to provide the service you ask for. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so we do not ask for cookie consent.
What we store

Content from other services
- The Telegram login is loaded from telegram.org only after you tap “Continue with Telegram”. If you open ScanPal inside Telegram, Telegram's app script is loaded from telegram.org. In both cases Telegram receives your IP address and browser data.
- When you look up a product, your browser contacts Open Food Facts and its sister databases and UPCitemdb. Product images are loaded from the sites that host them, mostly Open Food Facts.
- The FatSecret logo is loaded from FatSecret.
- These services receive your IP address and act under their own privacy policies.
Managing storage
You can delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. You will then be signed out, and settings stored on the device are lost.
Changes
We update this policy when we change what we store and tell you about material changes in the app.
